Melodious rendition of inspirational songs at GIIS Surat

Waste Management

Singing or even humming makes us smile from within. Studies have shown that singing or listening to music released ‘happy hormones’ in the human body. Music gave us language, words, expressions and moreover the means to keep history alive and pass it on to generations. It has bound races, cultures and religions for centuries, making the world what it is today. Creating this magic on the stage and bringing together thoughts, expressions and cultures under the roof of music, students of class 6 to 10 of Global Indian International School Surat, gave a brilliant performance in the solo as well as group singing competition held in the school’s campus.

The theme for the competition was devotional and inspirational songs and each participant enthralled the spectators and the judges as well, by their melodious rendition of the songs. After much contemplation, the judges gave out the names of the winners, which are as follows: Roshni Rajput, Kanishka Khandelwal, Smita Tiwari (all of class 7); Amritanjali Swaroop and Laxita Jhawar both of class 10; and Manas Sharma of class 8.
