GIIS Surat celebrated its Annual Day by showcasing a bouquet of creative expressions through a fantastic performance of MUSICAL MEDLEY. It was a platform for all students to display their latent talents. It was a well-orchestrated collective effort by all students starting from Nursery to Grade IX. Musical Medley was a feast to the eyes as students exhibited different cultures and emotions of this world full of wonders through performing arts.

The Annual Day commenced with the lighting of the lamp of knowledge by the Chief Guest, Mr. Rajeev Katyal Country Director, GIIS, India. Mr. Rajeev Katyal acknowledge the students of GIIS Surat for their outstanding performance in Inter-GIIS Cricket tournament in Singapore. The Principal of the school, Dr. N.K.P. Ashok Raj highlighted the achievements of the school in his Annual Report and parents were happy to see the progress of the school.

GIIS Choir set the mood for Musical Medley by orchestrating a harmonious blend of various musical instruments played with precision and perfect coordination. It was followed by ‘Tandav Dance’ by the students from grades V to VIII. GIIS tiny tots presented a fountain of joy by dancing on merry tunes. ‘Gangnam style’ by the students of grades IV and V mesmerized the audience and students of grade VI put up a scintillating performance of ‘Fan Dance’. Kathak Dance was presented by girls of grade VII enthralling the audience with the classical dance form. The drama, ’Janamdata’ presented by the students of grade VIII and IX added to the fervour of the evening, showcasing amazing performance and zeal accompanied by a lot of applause. The programme rose to a final crescendo with the ‘Grand Finale’ and ended in a beautiful resonance. Lingering in the minds of the audience was ‘Malhari’ and ‘Aaj ki party meri taraf se’. Parents were in awe and appreciated the show lauding the efforts of the students and the teachers for putting up such a fantastic presentation of Musical Medley.
