GIIS Queenstown Campus organised Peace Education Extension Programme (PEEP): Empowering our Youth as a new initiative in the ambit of its Peace Education Curriculum. The programmes objective was to train students to take on leadership roles as ambassadors of peace and integrity.

This innovative and exciting programme in collaboration with the Central CDC Singapore and Queensway Secondary School exposed students to a unique environment that brought to the fore the values of peace and non-violence. The camp was held from July 13 to July 15, 2012. The participants between the age group of 13-17 years were involved in various activities such as learning and sharing different cultures in Singapore, learning to survive in the wilderness by living in tent, trekking, cooking on their own, etc
