GIIS Queenstown Campus U-12 Boys badminton team GIIS Queenstown Campus badminton teams have persevered in their chosen sport and won five titles out of eight in ACSIS (Athletic Conference of Singapore International Schools) badminton tournaments. By winning five titles in the ACSIS season 1 badminton tournament, GIIS Queenstown Campus continues to lead the top position of the badminton playing schools in Singapore. The teams had a nail-biting finish in the finals of the division 1 ACSIS U-12 badminton girls and boys categories at GIIS Queenstown Campus. The determined Queenstown Campus girls team played with Tanglin Trust School (TTS) and United World College (UWC), Dover, in the league round before they faced GIIS East Coast Campus in the finals. While the boys squad played against TTS, UWC, East, UWC, Dover and GIIS East Coast Campus to emerge champions. GIIS Queenstown Campus U-12 Girls badminton team In October, U-14 boys and girls teams bagged the championships by defeating Anglo Chinese School (ACS) International school and UWC, Dover, respectively. In the division 2 matches, where the school fielded the second team of emerging players, both boys and girls team played very well. Girls team competed with ACS International school to clinch the gold and boys team faced German European School to secure a silver medal in the U-14 category. New comers in the U-12 division 2 matches made their entry in a big way. They played well and won some memorable matches until they lost in the bronze medal play-off.
