India is not just a country but an experience, a place to relish and have an everlasting memory for a lifetime. We may speak different languages, eat different foods, wear different clothes, live in different geographies, or follow different religions, at the end we all belong to the same nation and values that keep us together.
Promoting universal peace and brotherhood, the pre-primary wing of Global Indian International School (GIIS) Noida brought flavors of different states alive in the 4th Annual Day celebrations today. As the curtains unfurled, tiny tots of the campus took over the stage to showcase the festivity India as nation encompasses in itself. The Great Indian Carnival – theme for this year’s annual day celebrations revolved around a group of foreigners who plan to visit India to attend “The Great Indian Carnival”. During the trip, they visit few states and cities of India and get completely awed by the beauty and diversity of the Indian culture, festivities, dance and music. Upon encountering with different yet similar Indian cuisines, costumes and culture they change their perception about what they had thought India would be. As they participate and enjoy all the festivities of Indian states and cities, they realize that culture is one such aspect that bridges the political, social and geographical boundaries within a country.
Celebrating the diversity of our very own country, the annual day celebrations began with absolute splendor and glint. Mr. Rajeev Katyal - Country Director, GIIS India & Japan along with Ms. Sunita Jaisingh - National Academics Head, GIIS India and Ms. Aditi Chakraborty - Marketing Head, GIIS India were the chief guest for day. After the lamp lighting ceremony, the celebrations for the annual day kicked off with great performances which emphasized on brotherhood, love, honesty, communal harmony, and unity in diversity.
Beginning with the celebration of humanity, students from the pre-nursery greeted the audience with their welcome dance and Stuti Aradhana. Doing justice to the theme of “The Great Indian Carnival”, the whole act was beautifully interlinked with dance and drama to bring forth the message of the biggest religion/culture of all i.e. humanity. No matter what they eat, preach or do, humanity is the biggest faith of the universe. The story began with a group of foreigners visiting different cities of India and witnessing different festivals. As they travel across the country, they come across the real India and get to understand what the country is all about i.e. how people live together while respecting each other’s sentiments and emotions.
Enthralled to see their tiny tots dance and act on stage, the true essence of Maharashtra, Kashmir, Punjab, Bengal, Rajasthan, Goa, etc. was put forward in a spectacular way. Applause and smiles couldn’t stop beaming from happy faces of parents.

Education for these tiny tots is more informal than formal, the atmosphere around them plays a vital role in shaping up their personality for future. Parents have to be very cautious what they teach their children in early days of development.”
Ms. Nandita Dasgupta spoke about the academic happenings that have been carried for the whole year. She presented how 9 GEMS have been incorporated in the school curriculum along with Global Montessori Plus.

Yound achievers have an attitude which can make their personality and life, if guided in the right direction. Let these tiny little hands and faces innovate and make a future for themselves, which is bigger, better and full of success.”
