Various types of seasons mark the beginning and end of a year. As a season ends, weather changes are visible and felt across the ecology, and the movement of sun. The reason why we experience change in seasons is due to the fact that earth orbits around the sun and its axil tilts; relative to the ecliptic plane.
With an objective of sensitizing students on different types of seasons and how it effects the food and clothes humans wear, a Season fest was conducted for the tiny tots of the pre-primary wing of Global Indian International School (GIIS), Noida. With the activity conducted, students got hands-on learning about various seasons and to differentiate between them, different foods we eat depending upon the season’s requirement, and how clothes change as per the same.
Various stalls were put up in the school amphitheatre displaying items related to each season we experience in our country. Each season stall depicted clothes, food items and activities that we do during the season. Students from the pre-primary wing were shown the stalls as teachers’ recited rhymes on the theme.
A class activity was also conducted where the importance of various seasons, types of seasons in India, weather changes, factors responsible for causing weather changes, etc. were discussed with students in details by the respective mother and assistant teachers.
The whole idea behind conducting this fest for the tiny lot of the campus was to apprise them with the gift of the nature to humans, and how our lives become aligned with them.
