Take a quick look at some of our most exciting upcoming competitions.

It is our pleasure to inform you that Global Indian International School, East Coast, Singapore is holding its annual cultural event called ‘Real World Challenges Convention (RWCC)’ on November 17, 2016 at its Auditorium in Singapore.

RWCC is a part of the Global Student Exchange programme and will be based on the theme of Innovation, Creativity & Entrepreneurship (ICE).

GIIS RWCC aims at bringing together schools from Singapore and other Asian countries to celebrate creativity and sustaining the same in teaching and learning. A series of exciting programmes is planned in order to offer an unparalleled learning experience for all the students associated with it.

Here are the details of the events:

1. An ‘Art Competition’ for Pre-Primary, Grade 1-3 & Grade 4-5. This will include drawing and coloring using any medium. And the topic is ‘Schools for Tomorrow’.
2. The next event will be an ‘Essay Competition’ for Grade 5-6 & Grade 6-8. The subject of the essay will be based on the problem of illiteracy and poverty in most of the countries can be attributed directly to the rapidly increasing gap between the basic needs and their commercialization in modern business practices. In order to provide basic needs such as education, housing, clean water, power, affordable nutrition and opportunities, and improve standards of living, how do power of innovation, creativity and social entrepreneurship contribute to bring a tangible change in the world? Students need to use specific reasons and examples to support their views.

We encourage all our students for 100% participation. The preliminary round will take place in our own campus and the best five entries from each category will be sent to Singapore for the final round.
