Basket Ball is a game of an international repute. A game that provides numerous health benefits to its players and allows them to lead a life that many of us dream of living. People with greatest of the virtues, like Barack Obama have made this game an essential part of their daily fitness routines. Basketball not only helps an individual in burning calories or getting in good physical condition, but also develops cardiovascular endurance that helps in reducing risks of serious ailments like heart attacks or diseases.

Promoting the game, and understanding its value in today’s competitive world, Global Indian International School Noida trains its students well in the likes of the game. Our students get trained from industry experts who teach them the intricacies of the sport, and also educate them about the technical knowhow of the game. Doing justice to the training provided, the U-12 basketball team of the school brought good name themselves by winning 1st runners up trophy at the Inter-school basketball tournament held at G.D. Goenka, Greater Noida, New Delhi.

Our squad of 6 students played like pros against eight schools. After qualifying the first three matches against Mayur Public School, D.P.S - Greater Noida, the final match was played with G.D. Goenka School, Greater Noida. After giving a tough fight to each other, GIIS Noida won the 2nd spot in the tournament.
