Children’s Day Celebration at GIIS India

Jawaharlal Nehru@aps@s love for roses as well as for children is a well-known fact. He has often compared the two; saying that children are like buds in a garden. They should be carefully and lovingly nurtured as they are the future of the nation and citizens of tomorrow. Every year on 14th November, his birthday is celebrated in India as Children’s Day.

GIIS India celebrated Children’s Day in all its campuses by organizing various events to make it the most memorable day for the students.

GIIS Bangalore
Children@aps@s DayThe Pre-primary children were ushered into the AV Room and their joys knew no bounds when a surprise was revealed. A MAGICIAN had come to school! The kids had a magnificent time watching him perform the most marvellous tricks. This was followed by a Drawing and Colouring Competition. All students participated eagerly and this was followed by games in the class.

The activities for Primary section commenced with mind-boggling games which the teachers had prepared for the students. This was followed by a heart-warming dance performance by the primary teachers. Not only this, the children also got the opportunity to watch the movie RIO II in the AV room accompanied by their teachers. Lastly, they were provided with sumptuous refreshments from school. It was a day full of fun and frolic and everyone, including the teachers had a memorable day.

GIIS Ahmedabad
Children@aps@s DayChildren’s Day was celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm. The school was decorated with balloons and ‘best wishes’ stickers that delighted the students. The day started with a grand welcome of the students by the teachers and Principal. A ride on GIIS Super Express, camel-cart where the kids along with their class teachers went on a round of the school singing and enjoying to the fullest. The magic show was a big attraction amongst the children and they loved having tattoos printed on their hands. Then they danced and sang with their teachers. The school had arranged for refreshments that made the kids happy. While addressing the students, the Principal urged the children to spread the joy and happiness amongst the less privileged children in their neighbourhood by sharing and caring.

GIIS Surat
Children@aps@s DayChildren’s Day at the Surat campus was an attempt to make the children feel it special on a day dedicated to the entire student community. They came to school dressed in coloured clothes. The teachers conducted a special assembly for the students. There were innumerable activities lined up for the students. One of the activities was making photo frames by the students and the teachers together. Bookmarks were made and gifted to all the students from classes 1 to 8. It was a bonding exercise for teachers and students.

Children@aps@s DayThe school premise was decorated to celebrate Children’s Day. For the young ones of Pre-primary classes, special games were conducted. The teachers sang songs and danced to foot tapping numbers with children. The children enjoyed at the play zone and had a great time on the swing and slide.

Students of Primary classes sang songs, shared jokes and participated in a recitation competition with great zeal. Some students were honoured for achieving success in various competitions. The teachers sang beautifully and the children were very happy. ‘Maricom’; the movie on a real life boxer was shown to the students to inspire them to take chances in life and be achievers in their own spaces. All students enjoyed their special snack at school.

GIIS Noida
Children@aps@s DayThe students of Noida enjoyed themselves thoroughly. The day started with a morning assembly and students appreciated their teachers for shaping their minds and imparting knowledge. A lovely programme was put up by the teachers. They sang and danced beautifully for the students. At the end of the programme the Principal spoke on the importance of Children’s Day and the National Academic Head addressed the audience. The students were offered refreshment.
