GIIS Kuala Lumpur Campus (Secondary) organised a Project Day in January 2013, showcasing department-wise exhibitions. Students and teachers put up a wonderful display of charts, working models, projects, games and live shows.
There was an overwhelming response and active participation from many parents who enjoyed the displays and participated in the games organised by all departments to win prizes.
The Science Department saw students putting up simulated projects. ‘The Shapes that Shape Us’ was one of the prominent projects put up by the Mathematics Department.
The real sense of globalisation was felt as one stepped into the auditorium where an attempt was made to blend the rich and vibrant culture of languages, be it Tamil, French, Hindi, Sanskrit or Bahasa Melayu, all wore the look of resplendent glory. The students dressed in authentic costumes were the jewels that adorned the department’s crown.
The Social Studies Department had History students commemorating epic heroes while Geography students presented working models that depicted natural disasters. At the English exhibition, visitors enjoyed playing innovative games like Acronyms and Net-Lingo depicting the understanding of the English language. While Mathematics projects attracted one and all to test their mathematical skills, IT Department awe-struck everyone with their programmed robots that looked like skilled craftsmen. All the displays were a shining example of the tremendous effort put in by each student to make the projects.
