It is learning to respect different cultures and understanding the need of peace in today@aps@s world.
Dr C.S. Dharmadhikari, former Chief Justice of Mumbai High Court is an advocate of Gandhian values and holds the trusteeship of several Mahatma Gandhi foundations. He has been honoured with the Padma Bhushan; one of India@aps@s highest civilian honours in 2003. The Global Indian Mahatma Gandhi Centre for Universal Values initiated by Dr Justice Dharmadhikari, gives students valuable insights into the experiences and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and other world peace leaders.
Dr. Justice C. S. Dharmadhikari addressed the audience and spoke on the importance of humility, kindness and peace for spreading greater goodness in the world. He said, "Social, economic and political planning will be life-centred and man will be in its centre. Ours will be a participatory endeavour towards the development of human values through the simultaneous development of all life, plants and the whole creation. This will form the sheet anchor of our philosophy. We believe in Think globally and Act locally." |
