A glimpse of Fashion Fiesta - a ramp walk with recyclable material

These thoughts resonated this year yet again as GIIS Kuala Lumpur hosted the Global Fest for Literary & Cultural Championship SEASON 2 on 23rd & 24th May, 2015. The aim of GFLCC is to promote a healthy competitive spirit amongst participants and to establish a bond across countries.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Y Lashmaji Rao, Director, Indian Cultural Centre, Kuala Lumpur graced the Valedictory and Prize Distribution Ceremony. The enthusiasm and confidence displayed by the participants was exemplary. The Fest saw the participation of the following six campuses.

The competing teams exhibited great enthusiasm and creativity and kept the audiences enthralled all day in a plethora of activities ranging from art, dance & music to quiz, ICT & drama and was an amalgamation of a cross-cultural enterprise.

The events included:

Kalbelia Dance from Rajasthan - solo dance

Slam Poetry, Turncoat (impromptu), Group Singing (the theme was BRITAMERI POP/ROCK), Solo Dance, Face Painting, Whiz Quiz, World of Fantasy (enactment of selective characters taken from fiction), Comedy of Errors, Fashion Fiesta & Group Dance.

A special competitive event for the escort teachers was Fruit Carving which saw a lot of excitement among the participants.
