The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) is a non-profit animal welfare organization originally founded in England in 1824. SPCA campaign for animal welfare, assist in cruelty to animals’ cases and attempt to find new homes for unwanted animals. Increasing the awareness about animals to the GIVE students early in life, helps focus on instilling respect and compassion for animals. The goal is to stop potential abusers before they start at a very early age. The students of the GIVE Club and Horizon Club of GIIS Cambridge had set up stalls selling cookies, juice and ice-creams on 28th February 2015 during the Blood Donation Drive & KG Sports Day. The students made sales of RM 510 which they channeled the collection to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). |
