Every colour has its own importance. It can influence our emotions, mood, actions, and how we respond to people, things and ideas around us. Basically, it is a colour that signifies wisdom and intellectual energy. To felicitate spatial/visual learning skills among students, yellow day was celebrated by the Pre-Primary wing of school.

In order to recapitulate and reinforce the colour, students of the Montessori wing were engaged in numerous activities organized in a yellow environment. Children were dressed oh so beautifully, in bright yellow attires, making the celebrations way more vibrant and cheerful. As a part of the celebrations, children enjoyed a potluck of yellow fruits with each other.

Considering the theme, teachers had planned set of art and craft activities for the tiny tots to giving them an opportunity of discovering their creative side of the personality. A garden of yellow paper sunflowers was set up to make their colour concept more strong and concrete. From songs to rhymes to poems on the theme, students of the primary wing celebrated the day in the most fun way.

After an eventful day of all the informative activities, in-class fun and outdoor games, yellow day celebrations were concluded with an intent of strengthening the information retaining and understanding skills of the students.

Learning at Global Indian International School has been designed to promote interactive learning and by doing things practically. The more children see, the more they will understand and retain. Our proprietary teaching methodologies incorporate the use of multiple approaches like reading aloud, enacting, visual, and audio aids and group projects to address all intellectual capacities of our students. The children enjoyed this activity and were very happy when they received sunflowers to take home.
