GIIS Indore students visit Lal Bagh Palace

CCA Presentation Day

Laal Bagh is one of the most spectacular buildings in the history of Indore. Standing tall on the outskirts of the town, on banks of the River Khan, the palace was built by Maharaja Shivaji Rao Holkar during 1886-1921. Situated amidst dry and dusty gardens, its architecture is quite similar to the New Palace situated in the city.

To sensitize the students about the importance of cleanliness, faculty of the school took grade 4th, 5th and 6th students to the palace of Holkars, also known as Laal Bagh. Since safeguarding the country’s cultural heritage is our priority, students of Global Indian International School Indore took up a task of spreading awareness about protecting our cultural heritage for the future generations.

Expressing their concern towards the issue, students carried broom sticks, dusters and other cleaning materials for restoration of the place, along with beautiful hoardings made on the guidelines of Swacch Bharat Abhiyan. Cleaning the Palace premises including the main gate and palace passage, our students very enthusiastically performed the cleaning task while enchanting slogans on Saving the Heritage and keep it clean for our future generations.

Each student enthusiastically took part in this movement to achieve something beneficial for our future generations to come. They even took an oath to maintain other historical places as well as the surroundings.

The mission of Clean India proved successful and our children very proud contributed towards it. Safety can be achieved easily if we all understand the importance of cleanliness. A lesson well learnt by the students of GIIS, Indore.
