Global Indian International School (GIIS), Indore conducted adventure sport activities for grade 3-10 students in the school premises, under the guidance of Col. Malhotra and Purp Turf adventure cell.

Lt. Colonel Manoj Malhotra - Director of Pep Turf is a retired army officer who has been working for the welfare of calamity struck people. He manages a team of trained instructors, who are also a part of Army rescue team and are active during any natural calamity or disaster to support army.

Activities like flying fox, rappelling, valley crossing, etc. were conducted under complete supervision of experienced instructors, trained for carrying out live adventures smoothly. Few activities like flying fox was conducted from the fourth floor of the school building whereas valley crossing was conducted in open i.e. front ground area for better execution of the acts.

Building up the excitement, the event started with warm up exercises followed by explanation of the activities along with the safety measures to be followed.

Detailed information on how to use the equipments while performing and how these activities help build self-confidence was shared with the students, staff and teachers.

Mr. Ashwini Kumar (Mount Everest fame) was also present to demonstrate the activities for better understanding of the concept before students could carry out the actual stance. Dr Captain Dinisha Bhardwaj – Principal, GIIS Indore just to boost the morale and encourage students, took the first round of rappelling and flying fox activities.

The idea behind conducting such exciting activities was to encourage students to take charge of their own actions and become stronger and responsible individuals who can face the real world challenges with complete vitality and confidence.
