En-Elza-The Rising; GIIS Indore Celebrated its 4th Annual Function

Global Indian International School Indore campus celebrated its 4th Annual function, En-Elza-The Rising at Ravindra Natya Grah on 24 January 2017. The hall was packed to the corners with eyes locked on the giant stage where the students were to perform with vigour and enthusiasm. The grand Annual Day celebration for all sudents kicked off with performances which were a concoction of emotions, relations and values with a topping of our Indian culture. This celebration also marked the completion of 15 years of excellence in education, by GIIS!

The Annual Day celebration unfolded into a dance-drama extravaganza with parents and other dignitaries being mesmerized by the impacting performances by every child on the stage! They showcased their talents in presence of the esteemed Chief Guest Ms. Malini Goud, Mayor - Indore city and Guests of Honour Mr. Shankar Lalwani - IDA president and Brigadier Kishore Malhotra, SM and ADG Mr. Ajay Kumar Sharma. Mr. Rajeev Katyal - Country Director GIIS India, Ms. Vaishali Borde- National Academic Head GIIS India also graced the occasion to witness the wonderful performance of the students.

The programme began with the lighting of the lamp and Ganesh Vandana, symbolizing the quest for knowledge and the presentation of annual report on academic, sports and co-scholastic achievements of the school by Dr. Captain Dinisha Bharadwaj Singh - Principal GIIS Indore.

The Pre-primary section presented on the concept of ‘My Global World’, creating an awareness to rise above limitations and boundaries to be a member of the global world! They presented international dances from Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Middle-east, Vietnam and Thailand along with rich Indian dance forms.

‘The Symphony’ by students of Primary classes was an amalgamation of dance, play and music of the GIIS Orchestra. The showstopper was the spectacular ‘Tron Dance’; a combination of light and dance. The charismatic Grand Finale added new heights to ‘the Rising’ in its true sense. The function ended with the vote of thanks, presented by Mr. Arpit Vaidya - Primary Coordinator GIIS Indore.

Dr. Captain Dinisha Bharadwaj Singh- Principal GIIS Indore said, “I am happy to see the relentless work of my teachers and the non-academic staff in making this programme a success. It gives me great pleasure to witness the participation and confident expression of each and every student of GIIS Indore. I am positive that the students will make GIIS proud by achieving success.”
