Figuring out the right career option can be a hard choice to make. Choosing a profession that satisfies your mind and instinct calls in for a lot of planning and self-realization on one’s part. Right career option, if chosen after proper direction and self-actualization can shape up one’s career in a way that proves fruitful and fulfilling for life.

Considering the importance, and understanding the dire need of our current batch of class 8th and 9th students, GIIS Indore conducted a career counselling workshop in the school premises. It was a parent support workshop, where common and unusual fears of children relative to choosing the right career option were addressed by Mr. Talha Altaf. The intent behind conducting this workshop was to allow students in understanding their interests, and to start framing their thoughts towards their aspirations and likings.

Mr. Talha Altaf very calmly and rationally discussed about various aspects that should be taken into consideration while choosing a career. He also shared his past experiences and doings which helped him achieve a great career and become successful at it at the very same time.  Our guest of honour, Mr. Altaf has years of experience in counselling students for their benefit, and has been helping them in making career based decisions for good.

More than 50 students participated in the session and put forward their questions, hindering their path towards a bright and a successful career. All the students present while clearing their doubts regarding the latest trends of jobs in the market, laid emphasis on understanding various pointers that one should follow for a career that satisfies them internally.

At the end, we could see smiling and relieved faces with a clear mind and thought process. All the students were clear on what they had to do next. We hope that this session helps our students in making rightful career choices.
