Rising Sports Star

Vachiravich Aranthanawong (Ryu) of Class 6, GIIS Bangkok Campus (Thailand) is a budding star of the Table Tennis (under 12 years) in Thailand. He started playing the sport since an early age of 3 years, and already has a number of prestigious awards to his credit. He achieved the first position in a match sponsored by the Electricity Authority of Thailand and secured second position in the National Table Tennis Championships. Ryu successfully represented the district of Pakkred by winning a competition as a district-level player. Now, Ryu will represent his home country, Thailand in competitive matches to be held across several countries including Austria, Japan, New Zealand and China. Owing to GIIS emphasis on holistic learning of each child, talented students like Ryu are well-nurtured.
