On 18th February 2011, on the way to school GIIS Bangkok students were quite excited because they were going to the annual school camp. As soon as they reached school, children gathered with their friends to leave. They reached the camp at Khao Keow Estate, a camping resort and safari, which was a 2 hours drive from Bangkok. The children checked their tent numbers; which groups of 3 friends shared with each other. After lunch, they went for the day safari. It was exciting for them to feed animals such as giraffe and deer. They also saw a show on wild animals. In the evening, after a barbecue dinner they went for a night safari where they saw many nocturnal animals like porcupine, spotted deer, owl and sloth. The group returned to their tents by 8.30 pm and went to sleep. The next day we woke up at 6.00 am for morning exercises in the fresh air.

It was time to thank their parents, without whom this trip would not have been possible. So, the teachers gave the children postcards on which they wrote a message of thanks to their parents. After submitting their postcards, they packed their bags to leave. The best part of the trip was yet to come; the Tarzan Swings, where they screamed our lungs out as they took turns to swing across the wide expanse of lake. Soon it was time to say good-bye to the camp.
