With the hues of exhilaration, GIIS Bangalore welcomed the aspiring talents from various schools for the 'Inter-School GIIS Fest 2017- Umang' in August, 2017. Umang was a wonderful platform for students from Grade 1-9 to showcase their talent in the field of art, music, creativity and dance. There were a variety of competitions for students to help them bring out the best in them. To bring in the Cultural verve, there were Group Dance, Group Song and Fancy Dress competitions. For the Literary and creative thinking minds, there were Ad Bag and Debate. The students could explore the world of art through Photography, Digital Painting, Poster making and Still Life Drawing. The Foundation School, Vahe Global Academy, Deens Academy ECC, Deens Academy Gunjur and Global Indian International School participated in Umang, with great enthusiasm.

The judges were some of the eminent personalities in the field of education and they were surprised to see the powerhouse of talent and the creativity of students at Umang. The soothing song recitals or the graceful dance acts were colourfully matched with costumes and props that made the performances impeccable. The charismatic aura of lord Krishna was shown in the beautiful costumes and positive chants in the Fancy dress show. The abstract landscaping and digital India theme were expressed by students with pleasant visualization. The smart teams shared thoughts on progressive taxes with proper facts and the creative ad bag display was impressive with white goods. In fact, the competition saw every school ushering with perfection in their own style. The 'Overall Championship' trophy was won by GIIS, Whitefield.
