Panaroma 2016 Celebrating the third Annual Day with great fanfare.

Panorama was a comprehensive presentation of various dimensions of performing arts. The show comprising cultural panorama from China, Mexico, Egypt, Greece, Ireland and Italy was a visual treat. The laudable and astounding performances provided an insight into the ethnic diversity of people inhabiting different parts of the world.

The grand occasion was marked by the presence of eminent dignitaries such as Dr. Muni Reddy as the Chief Guest, Mr. Rajeev Katyal - Country Director GIIS India and Mr. Ram Prakash - Infrastructure Partner as the Guests of Honour. Ms. Sunita Jaisingh - National Academic Head - Scholastics and Ms. Vaishali Borde - National Academic Head- Co-scholastic & Early Years were also present as special guests.

The evening commenced with an invocation to Lord Shiva. Annual report on the progress of the students and their achievements was presented by Mr. Ganesh Sharma - Principal GIIS Whitefield, Bangalore. Mr. Rajeev Katyal shared his vision on the core values and educational direction of GIIS and Dr. Reddy captivated the audience with his words of wisdom. The guests felicitated the students for outstanding achievements in academics.

The Panorama of performances started with ‘The Golden Values’; a spectacular skit by the students of Pre-Primary section based on the tales from Disney. The little ones enacted the Disney characters and each one showcased a value which is integral to the learnings at GIIS. A plethora of colourful dances choreographed beautifully by the teachers were a treat to the eyes. The students enthralled the audience with their performance and oratory skills. The show ended with a ‘Vote of Thanks’ by the Pre-Primary Coordinator, Ms. Preetha D’Mello.

The students from grades I to VII enamoured the audience with their outstanding performance in plays- ‘Paradesia’ and ‘Curse of the Pharaoh’ directed by Helen O’ Grady. The students of Grades I and II presented ‘The Little Mermaid’, which is a heart-warming tale of a little mermaid who yearns to become human. The little champs made this story come alive with foot tapping dances and spectacular acting skills. The students from grades III to VII set the stage afire with their spectacular dances on various country themes. The event came to an end with a heartfelt ‘Vote of Thanks’ by the Primary Coordinator, Ms. Aracha Sinha.

The exquisite costumes, elaborate props and perfect orchestration of the programmes, smoothly flowing from one to the other, transported the audience to the world of wonders and they watched awestruck without batting their eyes lids as time flew by. The success of Panorama 2016 was no doubt a reckoner for the students and staff of GIIS Whitefield, Bangalore campus.
