KG2 students say iCare for Plants on World Environment Day

GIIS Business Conference
'iCare is a very important part of GIIS KG2  curriculum. The students are taught about the importance of trees and the different ways by which they can contribute towards keeping our environment green and chemical free. Today being, World Environment Day, all the KG2 students of GIIS Bangalore joined hands with Mother Nature to blossom the bond of friendship everywhere they go. They planted small trees in the school premises.
The moment was graced with the presence of Ms. Madhu Khanna (Principal,GIIS Queenstown, Singapore) and Mr. Ganesh Sharma (Principal, GIIS Bangalore). It was inspiring to see the tiny tots hold placards and creative hoardings emphasizing the importance of 'World Environment Day 2017'. When there is a green world, we humans can breathe fresh air and stay healthy and happy.

Whether it is at school or at home or any other place they visit, the need to keep the surroundings clean and tidy is very essential. Planting a tree is considered to be a noble gesture by humans and with infinite number of trees planted across the globe on 'World Environment Day' the pledge is very powerful - Save Nature. Go Green. Save Water. Live Healthy.

The little wonders of KG2 were very smart and they knew that trees were important. They shared some interesting facts with their teachers before planting the saplings. Trees give shade to human beings and animals. The branches of the trees help birds build their nests and even rest. Trees give us oxygen. So planting more trees is a precious contribution that we can make for sustaining the environment.
