With the vision of Digital India on the forefront, the students of today are all set to adopt innovative ways to contribute for India's growth and development. On the 71st Independence Day, the essence of freedom evoked an overwhelming zeal of patriotism in the hearts of GIIS students. 

Global Indian International School, Whitefield campus celebrated the spirit of freedom that every Indian has been enjoying for the past 70 years. The flag hoisting ceremony by the respected Principal along with the Head Mistress (Pre Primary), Coordinators and teachers was witnessed by students with pride for their nation. Mr. Ganesh Sharma gave an inspiring speech focusing on innovation for the students and the need to plan a future that is based on learnings from failures, courage to take calculated risks and making the best decisions in life. He emphasized on the vision of the teachers to guide every student in such a way that they inculcate all the essential life skills, academic knowledge and the sportsmanship spirit to emerge as responsible human beings.

As part of the special programme, there was a skit and two song presentations that fuelled the emotions of gratitude for the heroes who sacrificed their lives to grant us freedom. The colourful dance performance in the end showcased a glimpse of almost all the Indian states.
