The little cute wonders of Global Indian International School (GIIS) are always joyful as they love the time at school and when the word ‘sports’ comes, their eyes shine bright and their energy levels are at the peak. The 5th Annual Sports Meet on 8th November, 2017 was based on the theme ‘Rainbow’ and the Sun was also very happy to see their show from above, in the blue sky. The children presented a wonderful event that was very well-planned in order to bring out the 7 colours of a rainbow, to depict kindergarten learning through 7 senses and colour.

The Chief Guest was Ms. Divya Madhukar (Director-Trained Brain Education Pvt. Limited) She was accompanied by Mr. Ganesh Sharma (Principal) and Ms Preetha D’Mello (Head Mistress- Pre Primary).

The Sports Meet started with the Welcome march past by Nursery, KG 1 and KG 2 children. This was followed by a welcome speech by the Principal and Introduction of Chief Guest who unfurled the GIIS flag to begin the event. The torch relay and the lighting of the torch ceremony was energetic. Then the mascot of balloons were released to open the sports meet. The oath taking ceremony was taken and then the retreat march followed.

The amazing races were quite interesting. The themes were for Nursery A - Jumping kids are healthy kids, KG1 A - Feed the Fish, KG1 B - Where is the rain?, KG 1C - Scavenger Hunt, KG1 D - Go green, KG2 A - Triathlon Relay, KG2 B - Winnie The Pooh-The Honey Harvest, KG2 C - Jack-O'- Pumpkin Lantern, KG2 D - Saving Nemo, KG2 E - The Real heroes and for KG2 F - Ball and the basket. There was a relay by KG2 children too and the Vote of thanks by Ms. Preetha D’Mello. The Meet culminated with the National Anthem.

The colourful props and the rainbow-shade specific T-shirts of the smart champs made the entire show ecstatic and endearing.
