The field trips by the Pre-Primary students of Global Indian International School (GIIS) Bangalore are always filled with joyful experiences and interactive learning. The young ones truly enjoy such tours and they also recollect whatever they see very quickly. It is a moment of pride for GIIS to hear the tiny tots share their experience.
The Nursery kids went to The Martin Farm and had a wonderful day out in the company of friendly farm animals. They saw horses, rabbits, cows, ducks, guinea pigs, turtles and even goats. The little ones fed the animals and also got to touch them. The children were so excited to see them all.
The KG1 students explored a thriving 'Plant Nursery' where there were an array of plants. This was an experiential learning as part of horticulture where the students learnt about plants such as small shrubs, herbs and herbaceous plants.
The KG2 children visited the 'Flying Sea Stallion Stable' and were overwhelmed to see the horses right in front of their eyes. They saw a big stable, the home of the horses. They saw the horses ride with their trainer in the mini-equestrian area. The children fed jaggery and carrots to the agile horses.
Such field trips are very helpful to help the children see beyond the pictorial books and experience the learning by seeing. This helps them understand the real life concepts easily. GIISian kiddies are smart and very receptive during such field trips. They share their experience with minute details as well.
