Like a doting grandchild, I love you and wish you a ‘Happy Grandparents Day’!

The students of Global Indian International School, Bangalore celebrated Grandparents Day with abundance of respect and admiration. There was a special event for the Grand Parents of the Pre-Primary as well as the Primary/Senior sections. The Pre Primary event began with a special pom-pom dance by kids followed by a series of fun games. The Primary and Senior Classes began the event with the lighting of the lamp followed by quiz and other interactive games for grandparents.

The children were very excited to see their grand dad or grand mom participate in the games and cheered them wholeheartedly. The grand parents were very sportive and brought out the child in them through their active participation. The fond affection for their grandchildren reflected in the very fact that they held the hands of their respective grandchild while performing some of the games. The children seemed like a motivation factor for everyone to give their best. GIIS teachers were very happy to see the happiness ushering in the faces of all the grandparents who made the most of this wonderful day with happiness. All the games were thoughtfully planned by the teachers so as to make the special day, memorable for all the grandparents.

Mr. Ganesh Sharma, the Principal, thanked every grandparent for their presence and for their continuous support and guidance to children.  Beautiful flower saplings were presented to honour all grandparents, as a token of love from GIIS Bangalore.
