The "Discovery Box" activity was introduced to the students of Nursery class. The objective of the activity was to provide students with opportunities to develop fine motor coordination and logical thinking.
The students of Nursery were delighted to receive a beautifully wrapped gift box, each with a different activity inside.
The activities ranged from threading, patterning, finger counting to shape matching which promote the development of fine motor skills and logical thinking. Children were excited and completely engaged during the activity. They also exhibited a disciplined approach towards observing others at work without disturbing them. The teachers worked hard to put in numerous interesting activities. The Discovery Box activity was continuously rotated amongst the children which enabled teachers to monitor the students for their progress in learning.
The kids were so happy with the activity that at the end of the project the little ones wanted to pull out more and more objects from the magic box. Learning happens when it is fun and at GIIS Whitefield, it is a continuous process of delivering innovative learning through well-crafted lesson plans that are enjoyed by both the students and the teachers.
