Christmas at Global Indian International School Bangalore campus was a week-long celebration. With a lot of colourful and musical surprises by the small wonders, there was jubilation everywhere in the campus and the class rooms. The school halls were decked with boughs of holly as eager little feet waited for Santa the jolly elf with his bag full of goodies. Excited tiny tots of Pre- primary were busy exchanging whispers of gifts that were going to arrive. Time to leave a mince pie for Santa just in case he got hungry!! Classrooms were glowing with Christmas tree lights and little hands were busy making Christmas trees and decorative ornaments. The carol singers from KG2 visited all the classrooms to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

But it was also a time to delve into the depth of the true Christmas story. Parents and students eagerly filled the seats in the AV hall to watch the Nativity play. Beautiful Christmas carols filled the room as students dressed as Mary and Joseph nestled their baby and the wise men and shepherds brought gifts to the stable where baby Jesus lay in the manger. Santa arrived with a Ho Ho Ho!! and sweets for all the kids. The class party was full of sharing goodies and Christmas treats. Attired in red and white and wearing their Santa hats kids had a merry time.

The Carnival saw Christmas themed games for the kids as they took turns to play at different stalls. Feeding the snowman, pinning the nose on the reindeer, bowling the Santa hats and many more fun games kept the children filled with the Christmas spirit as they waved goodbye for the holidays! The super energetic students were happy to participate and enjoy the beautiful and blissful season of Christmas at school.

As the School reopened after the holidays, the small wonders are happily back to school with loads of stories to share. They greet everyone with ‘Happy New Year’ with a smile. It is amazing to see their curiosity about new learnings and engaging in interesting class activities in 2017. The tiny tots are also getting geared up for the Annual Day - the mega event of the GIIS Bangalore campus of this academic year.
