Festivals play an important role in adding structure to our social lives and connect us with our families and backgrounds. At GIIS Balestier, celebrations have become an integral part of joyful learning, community building and thought-provoking processes. This year, students got together during this festive season with an objective of bringing light to the life of those who are forbidden of the necessities of life. An array of activities was planned on October 12 and October 13, 2017.

Rangoli competition was conducted on October 12, 2017 to foster the skills of team building among students. The students, under the guidance of their mentors, worked together to decorate their classes with beautiful Rangolis that was later judged by the members of Parent Support Group (PSG). Further to develop entrepreneurship skills among students, food stalls and game stalls were put up by them on October 13, 2017. The excitement in the air was further stimulated with the photo booth, candy stalls, popcorn stalls and the bouncy castle. "Your greatest contribution to the Kingdom of God is not something you do, but someone you raise."

We are indeed proud to say that we are raising them in the right way as the students have mindfully donated a big sum for charity all by their efforts!
