Principal Message_ GIIS Ahmedabad

‘A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning’– Brad Henry.

Teacher’s Day is observed on September 5, which is the birthday of a great teacher, philosopher and statesman, Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. This year Teacher’s Day was celebrated at the GIIS Balestier campus with a lot of excitement. All the staff from Queenstown and East Coast campuses were invited to spend the evening together with the Balestier staff.

Teachers play very important roles in shaping the future of our children. To make them feel special, various performances were organized by GICC (Global Indian Cultural Centre) and SIFAS teachers, which included a Kathak dance performance, Hindustani vocals and an orchestra in the Carnatic style. There were many other fun activities, such as fun games were also planned by GIIS Balestier teachers, which was appreciated by both Queenstown and East Coast employees.

The event ended with a spectacular Utsav performance by the highly entertaining and talented group from "Kuyingpong Culture Society”, Nagaland. It was a very interactive and engaging session, thoroughly enjoyed by one and all.
