The smiling faces of the campers showed their excitement for the day. They were all set for the camp with their sleeping bags and their precious items tucked away in their backpacks. They enthusiastically participated in the array of fun-filled games like Treasure Hunt and also in inter-house sports activities like the Tug-of-War, races, etc. that were interspersed with traditional games like Kho-Kho, Dog-and-the-Bone, Kabaddi, Dart Games and more. The evening was an ejoyable affair with ‘Bhaji Pau’ dinner, followed by a rocking DJ dance party.
It was amazing to see the students of classes I and II showcasing an innovative fashion show on the theme of ‘Spring’. Dressed in their colourful floral outfits, they took the ramp by storm! Students from classes III to VII, elegantly dressed in black-and-red attires, exhibited great moves on peppy songs, around the bonfire. The bedtime stories with hot chocolate milk and corn added a beautiful savoury flavour to the nightcamp.
It is said that “if you take a quiet walk with nature, it will nurture your mind, body and soul”. Keeping this in mind, the students, teachers and the Principal Mr. Caesar D’silva explored the beauty of nature by walking around the school campus and listened intensely to the chirping of birds, watched the swaying trees, the rising sun and meditated listening to soft music; losing themselves amongst nature and all its splendour. They relished the mouth-watering ‘idlis’ and ‘sambhar’ to their heart’s content and returned home happy with their parents, cherishing the sweet lovely memories of the night-out.
