Happiness knows no bound when shared with others. GIIS Ahmedabad celebrated its first Annual Day on 12th December 2015, marking the beginning of its first year of creative extravaganza. It was indeed a special evening as the Chief Operating Officer GSF, Mr. Kamal Gupta along with Mr. Rajeev Katyal, Country Director GIIS India addressed the audience and promised to stand shoulder to shoulder with the parents, teachers and students in order to make GIIS Ahmedabad the best school in the city. Present on this occasion were Ms. Vaishali Borde, Academic Head- Co-scholastics and Early Years, GIIS India and Ms. Aditi Chakraborty, Head Marketing, GIIS India to witness an event of such grandeur.

The entire school participated in conveying the thought of making others happy. ‘The Pursuit of Happiness’ was themed on increasing awareness and sensitivity towards social inequalities. Students enacted short skits on the perils of grandparents in old age homes, the rat race of daily existence that takes away the mere joys of life, the destruction on Mother Earth and its after-effects and the sufferings of a girl child. All social issues were highlighted and the audience took a minute to think about the deeper meaning of life. The message was communicated with mellifluous songs and graceful dances. The little ones danced many happy numbers in beautiful costumes and it was a treat to the eyes. The entire programme was crafted with finesse. A brilliant performance of the GIIS mothers along with students received a standing ovation. The grand finale was the ultimate highlight of the programme as the spectators of the show put their hands together and stared with eyes wide open! The entire staff of the school, both academic and non-academic, along with house-keeping staff, led by the Principal danced as one, passing on the message of unity and oneness. This is the spirit of GIIS!
