Dreamzzz by students of KG-2

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams”. With this thought, students of KG-2 performed their 2nd Annual Day ‘Mélange’ 2016-2017 in November 2016. Mr. Virendra Rawat-Founder of Green School Movement in India was the Chief Guest. The event started with the recital from the Holy Quran followed by U.A.E and Indian National Anthems. The audience was impressed by a melodious welcome song by the Kindergarten 2 Choir.  The students welcomed parents and guests. Mr. Ramesh Mudgal-Principal GIIS Abu Dhabi welcomed the gathering. He presented the ‘Annual Report’ for the year 2016-2017. The achievements and activities of the year in progress were elaborated.  The key initiative for the forthcoming academic year was placed on record. The Chief Guest   spoke on different aspects of parenting and encouraged children and parents with his words of wisdom.

The most awaited part of the program The Musical “Dreamzzz” began with a beautiful tale of a little girl, Jessy, the main character who after reading the book ‘Alice in Wonderland’ at bed time has a dream that she is Alice and goes through a similar adventures where she meets a ship full of pirates, indulges in nature with butterflies and honey-bees, jungle tribes, visits a cowboy town, a land of snow princess and meets prince and princess and finally, gets to meet Aladdin and Jasmine.

When she wakes up in the morning, she sees the rainbow and its dance. The musical ends on a happy note as  Jessie plays with her friends in the park. A happy song, ‘happiness is something when you give it away; it comes back to you….’  filled the auditorium. The musical transcended the audience to a dream world!

The Annual Day ended by leaving an impression in the minds of the audience and the understanding that children learn through their imagination; which in turn can be developed by reading books. The quote “Logic will get you from A-Z; imagination will get you everywhere “ by Albert Einstein was most relevant. The students presented the ‘Vote of Thanks’. Global Indian International School Abu Dhabi team can proudly say that the parents were happy and overwhelmed with joy seeing their little toes dancing to the music so well.
