ConfluenceGlobal Indian International School Abu Dhabi held its first Confluence; the parent orientation programme in September 2015. Confluence is an amalgamation of thoughts, actions and initiatives that etches the beginning of a new journey for parents, teachers and students of GIIS Abu Dhabi.

The occasion was graced by Mr. D. S. Meena, Second Secretary Education- Indian Embassy Abu Dhabi in the capacity of Chief Guest. Present on this occasion were Mr. Kamal Gupta, COO Global Schools Foundation and Mr. Amol Vaidya, Director Operations, MENA Region and Mr. Ramesh Mudgal, Principal GIIS Abu Dhabi.

The programme started with recital of sacred verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthems of UAE and India. Ms. Crisha Lobo welcomed the parents of Kindergarten students and the dignitaries. The batch of founding parents took pride in participating at the Confluence and were eager to know more about the institution.

Mr. Meena was overwhelmed to see the state-of-the-art infrastructure. He congratulated the management and the staff for creating an excellent ambience that is conducive to learning. Mr. Gupta shared glimpses of the making of GIIS Abu Dhabi, the commitment of GIIS and its strive towards excellence.  The multi-purpose hall was packed with parents as Mr. Mudgal presented the journey of GIIS, the processes and the various learning modules and methodologies that have been developed over the years. He promised to deliver his very best and implement the best practices from across the globe at GIIS Abu Dhabi campus. Mr. Mudgal took the opportunity to call upon the teaches to come on stage, as he introduced them one by one, before they went to their individual classes for a ‘Meet & Greet’ session with the parents that ended on a cheerful note. The current academic session has been planned meticulously with plenty of activities and interesting modules for the little ones, directed towards power-packed learning.
